LUCKNOW: The upcoming panchayat elections within the state are prone to push the UP Secondary Schooling Board examinations for courses 10 and 12 to the second week of Could.

The examinations have been earlier scheduled to be held from April 24. The recent dates will probably be finalised in a few days. In accordance with officers, the examinations are prone to begin on Could eight and conclude by Could 30.

Almost 56 lakh candidates – 29.9lakh for Class 10 and 26 lakh for Class 12 – have registered this 12 months.

Now, UP Board examinations are anticipated to coincide with CBSE and ICSE/ISC examinations. ICSE (class 10) and ISC (Class 12) papers will start on Could 5 and finish within the second week of June whereas CBSE examinations (courses 10 and 12) will start on Could four and conclude on June 14.

UP panchayat elections will probably be held in 4 phases (April 15, 19, 26 and 29) whereas the counting of votes will probably be held on Could 2.

“Protecting panchayat election dates in view, we must shift the UP Board examinations. UP Secondary Schooling Board (UPSEB) was discovering it troublesome to carry examinations as lecturers will probably be engaged in election obligation and loads of schools are made polling stations,” deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma stated.
