Odisha academic institutes closed in view of Bharat Bandh

BHUBANESHWAR: The Odisha authorities on Thursday declared the closure of all academic establishments throughout the state on March 26 in view of the nationwide Bharat Bandh name given by farmers unions protesting in opposition to the Centre’s farm legal guidelines. The Congress and Left events have introduced their help to the 12-hour bandh to be noticed from 6 am.

The state’s BJD authorities has requested its staff to succeed in workplaces by 9.30 am on Friday in view of the bandh.

The entrance gates of state secretariat Lok Seva Bhawan shall be closed at 10:15 am and all of the passage shall be regulated via rear gates. Safety verify of identification playing cards and passes of the staff and guests shall be intensified, the house division stated.

In a notification, the federal government stated that faculties, faculties, universities and technical establishments shall be closed on Friday in view of the bandh.

The Utkal College authorities introduced postponement of Plus III fifth semester exams of Arts/Science/Commerce streams scheduled to be held on Friday. The examinations will now be carried out on March 30.

Farmers’ unions underneath the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha has given the bandh name throughout the nation on March 26 which marks 4 months of the farmer agitation on Delhi’s three borders — Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri.
