AHMEDABAD: India have been fined 40 per cent of their match charges for sustaining a sluggish over-rate in opposition to England within the fifth T20 Worldwide right here.
Javagal Srinath of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Virat Kohli‘s workforce was dominated to be two overs in need of the goal after time allowances had been considered.
“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Gamers and Participant Assist Personnel, which pertains to minimal over-rate offences, gamers are fined 20 per cent of their match charges for each over their facet fails to bowl within the allotted time,” the ICC stated in an announcement.
