Former Sebi chairman GV Ramakrishna passes away

CHENNAI: Former Sebi chairman GV Ramakrishna, 91, handed away on Saturday morning in Chennai after transient sickness.
Born in 1930, in Bengaluru, he began his profession as a biochemist after which opted for civil companies in 1952.
He was appointed because the chairman of markets regulator Sebi in 1990 when it lacked authorized standing.
He headed that physique until 1994 after which grew to become the primary chairman of Disinvestment Fee in 1996 when it was arrange by the federal government to exit state owned companies.
