Eight candidates from IIIT-Sri Metropolis chosen for central govt’s startups grants

TIRUPATI: Eight candidates from Indian Institute of Info Expertise (IIIT Sri Metropolis) with entrepreneurial aspirations have been chosen for the grant introduced by the union authorities for its flagship startup programme.

The Expertise Enterprise Incubator – Gyan Circle Ventures functioning on the IIIT has been chosen as a Group 2 Centre (G2C) below TIDE 2.zero scheme of Startup Hub promoted by Ministry of Electronics and Info Expertise (MeitY), with an preliminary funding for 5 years. The eight cohorts chosen on the TBI on Friday obtained their grant from Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri Metropolis, which can be the institute’s business accomplice. He assured to increase help to the grantees by connecting the brand new startups with the 190 firms positioned in Sri Metropolis compound for testing the merchandise or figuring out the primary set of consumers. Yet another applicant has been chosen as ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’, a university pupil who would work from the campus.
